Please join OVWA for an interactive discussion on ethics in the field of advocacy. This training is open to both members and non-members! This webinar will discuss the ethical standards for victim assistance professions as outlined in the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP)® Code of Ethics, and as maintained by the NOVA Office for Advocacy Ethics. Participants will discuss ethical dilemmas including, but not limited to, boundaries, dual relationships, and confidentiality. Are you interested in becoming a member of OVWA? Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center is pleased to offer this in depth victims‘ rights training for Ohio. This training will cover victims‘ rights in every stage of the criminal justice process, including the hospital, investigation, prosecution, and post-conviction. This training will focus on the new rights for victims created by the Marsy‘s Law constitutional amendment in 2018, as well as any case law or implementing legislation related to Marsy‘s Law. In addition, this training will cover basic need-to-know information for victims about other legal topics, such as Title IX, protection orders, and immigration. This training is approved by the Ohio Supreme Court for 2.5 Professional Conduct CLE hours and 1 general CLE hour. This training is also approved by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Boad for 3.75 hours of CEUs/CPEs.
