CRIME VICTIM FUND-AMENTALS WITH STEVE DERENE
OVWA is honored to host Steve Derene, co-founder and retired Executive Director of the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators (NAVAA), for this virtual training to improve our understanding of the Crime Victims Fund (CVF) and VOCA.
We will learn about:
Revenue Allocation - Sources of CVF revenue and how they are allocated
CVF Revenue Decline - Understanding the reason for the decline in CVF revenues
Supported Services - Determining the programs and activities supported by the CVF to help write your grants
History of VOCA - Why we depend on VOCA to serve victims/survivors
Federal Statute - Identifying requirements to receive grants and learning about legislative updates
ASL Interpreters and Closed Captioning will be provided.
