SUMMARY:Special Training: Victim Rights and Best Practices for Homicide Co-Victims
DESCRIPTION:For professionals working in the criminal justice system\, understanding the rights and needs of co-victims of homicide can ensure adherence to the law and improve access to and participation in the legal system for loved ones of victims. We welcome professionals from across Ohio to learn from experts Elizabeth Well\, Esq.\, Legal Director of the Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center\, and Kevin Torigoe\, LISW-S\, Program Manager at FrontLine Service. This training will provide an overview of the rights of those who have lost a loved one to homicide\, plus the unique considerations and best practice guidance for keeping co-victims engaged in prosecution.
