DESCRIPTION:This webinar will equip advocates with practical\, life‑saving skills using the QPR (Question\, Persuade\, Refer) model. Participants will deepen their understanding of suicide as a public health issue\, explore the impact of stigma\, and learn how to recognize the warning signs that someone may be at risk. This training provides clear\, actionable guidance on how to ask difficult questions\, offer hope through supportive dialogue\, and connect individuals to appropriate resources. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network: \nThis two-hour workshop is designed to empower victim advocates with a basic understanding of the neurobiology of vicarious trauma or secondary traumatic stress. Opportunities for reflection and group discussion will guide this exploration of approaches to managing and reducing the impact of vicarious trauma. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network: \nJoin ODVN’s Legal and Training Team for the foundational training for legal advocacy. This two-day training focuses on working within the civil and criminal justice systems in partnership with survivors of domestic violence. Experts with extensive experience will provide information about the realities of navigating the court system for victims of domestic violence. \n**Please note that this is a two (2) day training\, with both days going from 9 AM to 4 PM. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network: \nIn this hands-on\, virtual training\, participants will learn about core functions that support groups serve in domestic violence programs\, including a variety of types of support groups like cooking\, play\, trauma-informed wellness groups\, and the more traditional types of survivor group work. Participants will learn about trauma-informed best practices\, and expectations will be rooted in survivor-centered care. Participants will also learn ways to enhance their facilitation skills and navigate challenges that often arise in support groups.
