SUMMARY:OVWA Webinar Wednesday: EFT Tapping
DESCRIPTION:Tapping\, or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is an evidence-based practice in which a person uses their fingertips to tap specific points on their body to relieve stress. Based on principles of Chinese acupressure as well as modern psychology\, it has been shown to lower cortisol levels. OVWA is thrilled to host Dr. Maria Ortner\, Global Director of The Tapping Solution Foundation\, who will introduce us to the practice of Tapping. Join us to learn about the scientific foundation of acupressure and the healing effects of Tapping and how it can help us deal with our exposure to vicarious trauma. This training will provide foundational and experiential applications of EFT that we can use in all areas of our lives. \nPresenter(s): Dr. Maria Laura Ortner\, The Tapping Solution Foundation \nThis is a public training – please feel free to share widely! OVWA is proud to partner with The Tapping Solution Foundation in 2025\, and is grateful for the generous support from Dr. Ortner and the Tapping Foundation to bring this healing technique to victim advocates across Ohio. \n \n \nThis training is preapproved for CEUs from OAN\, NACP\, and the State of Ohio CSWMFT Board. If you need accommodations to attend this training\, please email us at info@ovwa.org no later than one week before the webinar date.
