DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network\nJoin ODVN for this comprehensive\, foundational training series to develop core skills and enhance current knowledge of advocacy for domestic violence survivors. This virtual training series\, designed for new advocates or seasoned staff\, is comprised of four full days (20 hours) of live training and 20 hours of online pre-learning through ODVN’s eLearning Network. This updated DVAF training includes exciting new videos and participant engagement through scenarios\, break-out sessions\, and panel discussion. \nThe training is a pre-approved program through the Ohio Advocate Network (OAN) credentialing board and meets the training requirements for the Registered Advocate (RA) credential. \n***Pre-Learning Requirement: Attendance is required at all four dates. No partial credit will be given. This is a hybrid training that requires completing 20 hours of online learning prior to the 4 days of live training. \nCost: Free for ODVN Members (ODVN Member Program or Individual/Organizational Membership); $150 for Non-ODVN Members. \nDeadline to register: August 26\, 2026 \nThis training is offered by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center: \nOCVJC offers free cross-disciplinary victims’ rights training via live interactive webinars. These trainings focus on new rights under House Bill 343 and Senate Bill 16\, which became effective in 2023\, as well as recent case law\, and serve to provide the education and tools necessary to help protect victims’ rights at each stage of the criminal justice process and provide guidance on when to refer crime victims to Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center to request free legal assistance. \nThis training is offered by the Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center.
