ODVN – Advocacy Skills Workshop: Understanding the Neurobiology of Vicarious Trauma and Setting Healthy Boundaries in Trauma-Exposed Work

Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network:

This two-hour workshop is designed to empower victim advocates with a basic understanding of the neurobiology of vicarious trauma or secondary traumatic stress. Opportunities for reflection and group discussion will guide this exploration of approaches to managing and reducing the impact of vicarious trauma. Participants will examine and choose boundaries to incorporate into their work.

*This workshop will require that advocates have cameras on and participate in the role plays during breakout groups to create an effective learning space for everyone attending.   

Cost: Free for ODVN members; $20 for non-members
