ODVN – Beyond Shelter: Advancing Housing Advocacy for Survivors

Participants and presenters will explore the national affordable housing crisis and its specific impact on Ohio, highlighting how domestic violence programs can respond through survivor-centered housing strategies. This virtual training covers innovative approaches such as DV Housing First, rapid rehousing (RRH), flexible funding, direct cash assistance, affordable housing development, and landlord engagement. Participants will learn how these interventions support survivors in maintaining or obtaining safe, stable housing and promote healing through trauma-informed practices.
