ODVN – Beyond the Lease: Strengthening Housing Advocacy Through Holistic Community Collaboration

Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network
This training invites participants to explore the foundational principles of holistic community collaboration and why this approach is key to long-term survivor advocacy and housing stability. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how to identify and engage a wide range of community partners—both traditional and non-traditional—to strengthen support beyond housing alone. Together, participants will examine common gaps and barriers in interagency collaboration, such as communication challenges, confidentiality concerns, and system disconnects, and how these can affect advocacy efforts. The training will offer practical, approachable strategies for coordinating resources across housing, healthcare, legal services, education, employment, and social services to build meaningful, wraparound advocacy plans. Facilitated by ODVN and COHHIO, this session will also feature an engaging panel discussion with experts from the domestic violence and housing fields, creating space for shared learning and connection.
Cost: Free for members (DV member program, Organizational, Individual); $25 for non-members
Registration ends March 31st
