Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network

Experienced and seasoned advocates are invited to join ODVN for a unique training opportunity to advance their advocacy skills. This training is designed specifically for advocates with at least three years of experience in the domestic violence field, or 1 year of experience and full completion of the Domestic Violence Advocacy Fundamentals training series. In this training, advocates will deepen their skills to support survivors through complex situations and systemic barriers. Advocates who attend this training will learn foundational principles for applying an anti-oppressive lens to services, tools for assessing fidelity to the Trauma-Informed Care model, strategies for safety planning with complex and high lethality cases, and steps to take their advocacy to the community and policy levels. Advocates will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and collaboration with their peers to build upon their knowledge and skills.

Training will be hosted in person at ODVN’s office.

Registration ends April 8th or when capacity is met.

Cost: Free with a DV program, organizational, or individual membership; $50 for non-members.

This training is offered by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network. Please contact ODVN at training@odvn.org with any questions.
