Domestic Violence Advocacy Fundamentals: For Seasoned Advocates

In response to requests from domestic violence programs and advocates, ODVN has developed this advanced training specifically for seasoned advocates who have been in the field for 3+ years. This virtual training will go beyond the basics of domestic violence advocacy and dive deeper into crucial topics such as brain injury and strangulation, anti-racist advocacy, mobile advocacy, supporting human trafficking victims, and working with survivors managing mental health and substance use issues. Participants will have the chance to discuss, ask challenging questions, and apply skills to realistic scenarios.

Registrants must have at least 3 years of experience in the domestic violence field to register. No pre-learning modules are required to take this course.

Cost: Free for ODVN Members (ODVN Member Program or Individual/Organizational Membership); $50 for Non-ODVN Members.
