In Plain Sight: Trafficking in Intimate Partner and Familial Relationships |
| Although human trafficking is often associated with images in popular media of abductions and stranger-danger messaging, victims of human trafficking often experience abuse and exploitation from those they are closest to. This training explores the relational dynamics of human trafficking and intimate partner violence in the context of human trafficking and familial relationships. Not only do these dynamics groom individuals for exploitation, but tactics are utilized to keep individuals trapped in the cycle of exploitation. Participants will learn the tactics and dynamics of how trafficking happens within relationships, strategies to support survivors that are exiting these relationships, and application of effective safety planning strategies.
This training is appropriate for new and seasoned advocates. |
