ODVN – Supporting Survivors Experiencing Mental Health Crises in Domestic Violence Programs

Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network
Many domestic violence survivors experience mental health impacts from their experiences, and advocates should be equipped with the tools and skills to respond effectively when mental health crises arise. In this training, participants will learn how to apply a trauma-informed approach to de-escalating mental health crises. This training will include scenario-based learning and provide opportunities to apply and practice the content through discussion and realistic case studies. After this training, participants will be able to list signs of crisis escalation and identify effective strategies for responding in ways that support survivor safety, promote self-determination, and build rapport.
Cost: Free for members (DV member program, Organizational, Individual); $25 for non-members
Registration ends October 16th.
This training is offered by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network. Please contact ODVN at training@odvn.org with any questions.
