ODVN – Supporting Survivors Impacted by Brain Injury

This training builds on Invisible Injuries: Domestic Violence, Strangulation, and Traumatic Brain Injury and takes a deeper look at creating brain-injury-aware, trauma-informed services using ODVN’s CARE Framework. We’ll explore CARE tools for education, recognizing possible brain injury, and developing practical accommodations and strategies. The session will discuss communicating with survivors about brain injury, highlight organizational practices for integrating brain injury awareness, and feature ODVN partners who will share how primary care, forensic nursing, and brain injury services can support survivors on their path to safety and healing.
