ODVN – Youth Advocacy Caucus: Eat. Sleep. Tech. Repeat. Teens, Technology, and Dating Violence

Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network

This year’s Teen Dating Violence Awareness Event will feature Audace Garnett, Director of the Safety Net Project at the National Network to End Domestic Violence. This interactive session will explore how technology, including social media, apps, gaming platforms, and emerging tools like artificial intelligence, shapes the daily lives and relationships of teens. Participants will examine how digital spaces influence communication, attraction, and boundaries, as well as how new technologies can introduce unique risks and opportunities for harm.

The session will provide practical safety-planning tips and actionable strategies to help young people set and respect boundaries, navigate online interactions responsibly, and build safe, respectful, and empowering relationships both online and offline.
