OVWA Quarterly Member Training: Advocates as Expert Witnesses

Have you ever wondered how advocates in the field may be asked to provide expert witness testimony? Are you wondering how much experience and education one might need to be successfully accepted as an expert witness for specific crimes such as domestic and sexual violence? Attendees will hear how expert witnesses may be used in both criminal and civil courts, and how advocates can increase their understanding of, and participation in, providing expert-level testimony. This program is for advocates and allied professionals and the attorneys who work with them.

This training is applicable for CEUs from OAN, NACP, preapproved for counselors, social workers, and marriage & family therapists through the State of Ohio CSWMFT Board, and approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education.
