Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) 2.0

Survivors of domestic violence often need access to legal assistance and legal advocates have proven to be valuable resources in helping survivors to navigate criminal and civil court systems. Providing legal advocacy can often come with risks of practicing law and it is important that advocates understand UPL and know what they can specifically do and say. Attorney Robin Bozian has experience training advocates across the state on the basics of UPL for a number of years and at this meeting will provide a deeper dive of UPL and how advocates can provide legal advocacy with a knowledge of the risks.
