ODVN – Supportive Groups: The How-to of Group Work with Survivors of Domestic Violence

Hosted by the Ohio Domestic Violence Network:

In this hands-on, virtual training, participants will learn about core functions that support groups serve in domestic violence programs, including a variety of types of support groups like cooking, play, trauma-informed wellness groups, and the more traditional types of survivor group work. Participants will learn about trauma-informed best practices, and expectations will be rooted in survivor-centered care. Participants will also learn ways to enhance their facilitation skills and navigate challenges that often arise in support groups. Come prepared to apply learning to group activities and discussions with other attendees.

Cost: Free for ODVN members; $25 for non-members
